ISA Group is a leading consultancy group specialising in immigration, recruitment and HR advisory services. When relocating its Perth office to Hasler Rd, Osborne Park, the directors sought a stylish, contemporary fit out to impress clients and to enhance staff morale and productivity.

With this in mind Habitat 1 juxtaposed sleek, professional corporate zones in the meeting areas against a more playful approach in the open workstation and office areas.

The brief also outlined the importance of the client's first impression upon entering Reception. Responding to this, Habitat 1 designed a striking Reception Area boasting several features including custom pendant lights, coordinated blue vinyl reception chairs, sleek white reception desk with a graphic film inlay and a coved ceiling and wall covered with feature wallpaper.

The transition between the Reception Area and relevant meeting areas was also a priority for the clients. Habitat 1 achieved an effective traffic flow between these key areas through logical space planning centered on locating the meeting and boardrooms in close proximity to the Reception, yet separated from the main staff area by a glass partition wall highlighted in bold feature graphics.

The boardroom and adjoining meeting room both encapsulate a fresh, sleek and professional feel. This has been achieved through the use of sophisticated finishes such as grey-toned woodgrain table tops with grey glass inserts, off white walls, frosted film strips to internal and external glazing for maximum privacy without blocking natural light. A flush ceiling and feature blade lights complete the space. A commanding feature in the boardroom is the unique ceiling feature made up of perspex circles and ovals of varying sizes and colours, suspending at varying heights. For added versatility, sliding doors connect the meeting and boardrooms enabling the hosting of functions, training seminars and large meetings.

The inspiration for the selected finishes and the repetition of circular elements throughout the fitout was predominantly drawn from the client's existing branding. ISA Group's corporate identity was actively promoted through incorporating the colour palette and visual elements from this branding and translating it through features walls, doors, screening fabrics and glass splashbacks within the space.

The use of work station screens to a height of 1500mm in the open work space is a direct reflection of the company's policy of privacy and confidentiality influencing the design on a practical level.

Overall the fit out for ISA is a bold statement that encapsulates the corporate identity and the professional attitudes of the successful company working within it.
