Habitat 1 is a full service design & construct company comprising architects, interior designers and a builder. With our range of qualifications, we can complete a project from the design stage through to the construction. Founded in 2004 by Christian Formby and Milos Stojsavljevic, Habitat 1 was initially established as a commercial interior design firm. The company has now evolved into a national, multi-faceted design and construction company whose works include all aspects of commercial office fitouts and multi-storey residential architecture. A proven history of close working relationships with clients combined with an acute attention to detail, continues to lead us to unique architectural solutions and quality product.

Christian Formby

MANAGING DIRECTOR  Architect / Builder

Christian Formby is a registered architect and a registered builder. Graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1998, Christian worked for a developer designing and project managing both large scale residential and commercial projects. With his architecture degree and the years of building experience, Christian became a registered builder in 2007. The combination of design and construction experience led Christian to form Habitat 1 with Milos Stojsavljevic in 2004, where initially the company focused on commercial office fitouts. The scale and quantity of the Habitat 1 projects increased in the years to follow and allowed expansion into health, hospitality and retail. As well as enjoying the role of Managing Director, Christian remains the senior architect of the company, overseeing the range of exciting, challenging designs faced on each project.

Milos' Stojsavljevic'

DIRECTOR

Milos is a qualified interior designer with 13 years experience in the commercial design and fitout industry. As a director his main role is site supervision and project management of all projects. His attention to detail and experience ensures that jobs are completed to the highest standard and client satisfaction is guaranteed. No problems, only solutions!

We commit to providing you with an up front fixed price contract. This ensures no nasty surprises or cost blowouts. You have piece of mind and a clear understanding of all building costs prior to commencing.

4. Building Agreement

Unlike many designers / builders we don’t baffle you with nasty surprises or unclear contracts. We commit to providing you with a clear and concise building agreement that is easy to understand. We work closely with you ensuring that you are fully aware of the building process and what is involved prior to signing any contracts.
